Hvenær kemur sól is a single from the first of our two upcoming albums Pendúll and Blik. Pendúll will also be the first album that will be only in Icelandic.
The artwork for this single is derived from the the art-concept-universe that our visual artist Pieter Hoekstra has been developing for Pendúll & Blik, inspired by input from you our listeners!
lyrics
Lyrics:
Úti berjast stormar og hríðir á þakinu
en stillum okkur þó
Inni ber á leikjum og hlátri frá fólkinu
sem ræktar sálarspor
Hvenær mun nú veturinn sleppa loks takinu
svo það komi vor, svo komi vor
Hjá mörgum ólgar biðin svo löng eftir frelsinu
en höldum okkar ró
En hvenær kemur sól
svo ég finni mína ró
Minningar um stundir sem gerðust á grasinu
Gaman var nú þá. Margt skemmtilegt að sjá
Á tímum þar sem brosið er dregið úr djúpinu
þá ræktast sálarspor
En hvenær kemur sól
svo ég finni mína ró

I love to listen to this during work, it fills me with calmness and I can almost smell the scents of the forest.
Beautiful & serene from start to finish. SilverFolfy

F2G reminds on Riversea, Mystery or Gilmour leaded PF, melancholic (neo-)prog. Although it's no music for happy days it's beautiful music in it's own kind. prog-rocks
Introspective, homespun folk tunes from John Donne that feel informed by the sugary bleakness of '80s and '90s indie pop. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 1, 2023

I've been listening a lot to their debut, Flown, last week, after it had gone down somewhat underheard in my collection after acquisition. After having rediscovered this great album, this Bandcamp Friday offered a welcome opportunity to buy the 2nd album by this splendid Norwegian trio. Probably it's even better then Flow. Gazpacho may still be a first reference point, but there's so much more in their music. Gentle prog, art/post rock, whatever... Carsten Pieper
