True to the sensual brooding mood of Lana Del Rey’s original version, we've flipped summer to winter and robed her melodies in the band’s trademark soundscape and vocal harmonies. The cover drops as the band is preparing the release of their new album BLIK, courtesy of M.A.R.S. Worldwide Music
Having been big fans of Lana for many years, we've decided to cover her music video for Summertime Sadness as well, recreating each shot, angle and movement accurately, but with an Icelandic flourish. Instead of the sun soaked landscapes of Santa Clarita, California, our version shows the snowy sceneries found in and around our hometown Reykjavík.
The music video for Summertime Sadness will premiere on the 17th of February.
